Grace Lazzara

Grace Lazzara provides strategic planning and implementation for eXubrio Group's public relations clients. With nearly 20 years' experience in public relations, she has spent time in the agency, corporate and not-for-profit worlds.
Grace has worked as an independent public relations professional since 1999, providing counsel and implementation to clients such as University at Buffalo, Kaleida Health, IT organization Element K, optics manufacturer Gradient Lens Corp. and Community Health Foundation. She spent 2001 as the acting vice president of the technology practice for Weber Shandwick Worldwide in Toronto, offering senior-level counsel to clients such as IBM and Monster.ca.
Among other professional roles, Grace has served as manager of corporate communications for telecommunications provider Frontier Corporation (now Global Crossing), handled agency accounts for Eastman Kodak Company and Columbia Banking and served as corporate communications coordinator for Norstar Bank. She also was director of PR and marketing for Genesee Country Museum, the nation's third-largest living historic museum.
Grace is a past chapter president and chapter board member of the Public Relations Society of America. She currently serves on the executive committee of PRSA's Independent Practitioners Alliance and the marketing committee of the Ronald McDonald House of Buffalo.
Grace has received several PRism Awards for excellence in PR practice from PRSA's Rochester chapter. Her work also has been recognized with the Admissions Marketing Report's Gold Medal and Pepsi-Cola's Promotion of the Year Award.
Grace received a B.A. in English from University of Rochester and an M.A. in English from Northeastern University in Boston. She also received a fellowship from University of Massachusetts at Amherst to attend an intensive writing workshop. She has taught writing at the university level, in client workshops, at Rochester's Writers and Books and Just Buffalo Literary Center.
